ENVIRONMENTAL FACTOR IS HIGHLY IMPORTANT
Prof. Dr. Abdulkadir Bedirli from Gazi University, Department of General Surgery, drew attention to the importance of the relationship between obesity and the environment. Bedirli said: "In recent years, the environment has made people more obese. It affects our habits in friends, partners, school and work life. Many studies on this subject prove the effect of social relationships on weight.
RESEARCH PROVED
Researchers state that the biggest factor in becoming obese is friends. For example, close friendships increase the risk of obesity by 171%. These rates are 40% among siblings and 37% among spouses.
